Memphis Police responded to the multi-vehicle accident a little after 12:30 a.m. on Shelby Drive at Swinnea Road.
Two people were pronounced dead on the scene. A man and a woman were taken to Regional One in critical condition.
Another woman was taken to Regional One in non-critical condition. Another man was taken to Methodist University in non-critical condition.
One of the cars reportedly caught on fire.
