Trump US Attorney Conducting 'Inquiry' Into People Referred by Elon Musk

Ed Martin, the acting U.S. attorney in Washington, D.C., said Friday morning on X, formerly Twitter, that he was conducting an 'inquiry' into people referred by Elon Musk, chief of President Donald Trump's Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).

Martin shared a letter on X addressed to both Musk and Steve Davis, a deputy of the billionaire, that stated that his office will chase people "to the end of the Earth to hold them accountable" if they are caught stealing government property or threatening government officials."

Neither Martin's office nor Musk have provided details on these alleged crimes other than stating people were "stealing government property" in the letter.

On Monday, Martin threatened legal action against anyone who "impedes" DOGE's work or "threatens" its people.
